Dota 2 Tournaments has one of the biggest esports scenes behind it, and just like any esport multiple tournaments are sprouting up all over. This article will be covering both the good and bad things about these tournaments for you to decide whether or not you want to bet on them in the future. because often people are unsure about which tournaments are worth their money, I will be using counterstrike: global offensive for some comparisons
Few Advantages of Dota 2 Tournaments over CSGO Tournaments:-
The biggest advantage that many Dota 2 tournaments have over csgo’s is that multiple tourneys are happening simultaneously. While some people may complain about lack of viewership due to too many tourneys, it also provides a good variety of odds for you to bet on.
Also, occasionally multiple tourneys are going on simultaneously, which gives you the choice of potentially doubling your profits from what I’ve noticed. This is a great thing about Dota 2’s esports scene and something that csgo needs to do if they want to be as big as a community.
Few disadvantages of Dota 2 Tournaments over CSGO Tournaments:-
One thing that bothers me is that most Dota 2 tournaments are all in one weekend. While it may not seem like much time, I’ve noticed that when multiple tourneys are going on at once, they have different starting times, which makes it impossible for you to keep up with all of them.
I think Dota 2 tournaments needs to work on this and create a consistent schedule for their tourneys instead of having back-to-back games simultaneously, which can often ruin viewership.
CS: GO Tournaments vs. DOTA 2 Tournaments: Which is the bigger esport?
So below I am comparing dota 2 tournaments and csgo in an article that they are some of the biggest esports around, but with that being said, I will not be specifically comparing them on their lands or prize pools or anything like that.
Recently there has been a lot of talk about which game is more popular overall; both players and league owners have been stating their opinion, so I decided to give you mine.
I think that both csgo and Dota 2 are going in a great direction, but they still need to work on some areas to keep growing their games. Even there is also the fact that there are so many tourneys in dota makes it hard to watch everything without losing motivation since you can only focus on one game at a time. As for the game itself, I think csgo is more popular than DotA 2 tournaments because of its simplicity and how easy it is for new players to understand the basics of the game.
Few More Comparision Between Dota 2 & CSGO:-
Since dota 2 has so many items, you have to spend a lot of time learning everything instead of just focusing on the map objectives. And even though I’m an esports fanatic who watches every tourney possible, I still get confused when watching Dota 2 games because there are too many things going on. It’s like watching a starcraft game at one glance, crazy stuff.
So I’m hoping that Dota 2 can simplify the game for new players to understand but keep all the amazing details on strategy and mechanics on its high skill ceiling. I think this is why csgo has more viewers than Dota 2, because anyone can pick it up and start playing with their friends without spending too much time learning the game. And don’t get me wrong, I do not hate Dota 2 or anything like that. Yes, crazy things are going on in esports, but you have to be at least a little bit insane if you want to be successful as an esport.
Remember that csgo is for the players, not the viewers. So keep it simple so new players can have fun on the game without being confused at every turn. Also work on making a consistent schedule for all your tourneys, so people don’t miss what’s going on in the esports world.
I think this is why most players still prefer csgo over Dota 2 tournaments because even though there are a lot of tourneys going on every weekend with good prizes, it’s way too much for you to keep up with. So I’m hoping that both games will get their shit together and start working with the community instead of always thinking about money.
